PLAINVIEW BEEF CO. FAQ's

WHAT DOES THIS COMPANY DO?

We plan to capitalize our 100+ years of heritage in the beef industry and combine it with controlled environment agricultural, allowing us to monitor our inputs, producing verifiably healthier beef products which will be marketed and sold directly to our customers.

WHERE WILL THIS COMPANY BE IN 5 YEARS?

We plan to grow our herd to over 5 thousand cattle on feed by year 5 and will look to be on the forefront of the market for the health continuous beef consumer.

WHY DID THE FOUNDERS CHOOSE THIS IDEA?

If your family is like ours and tired of not knowing what is in the food we consume. We have all consumed products with ingredients we don’t like or even understand. We believe having a PLAINVIEW about what we are eating will lead us to healthier choices into the future. PLAINVIEW is really something we wanted to create as a part of who we are, plain and simple people who feel what goes into the meat we eat should be easily seen and understood.

WHAT IS THE EXPERIENCE OF THE PLAINVIEW TEAM?

Our family has over 100 years in the cattle business. Our co-founders have current and extensive experience in feeding cattle from the perspective of an owner, feed yard operator, and banker. The relationships and experiences of our family span across the mid-western states and will provide the platform that has stood the test of time. This heritage will be combined with a deep financial background of our co-founders, which together have started and successfully exited multi-million dollar business ventures in the past. Our team also boast extensive experience in the marketing consumer products and possess the skills needed to bring PLAINVIEW's beef directly to our investors and consumers.

WHAT IS YOUR BUSINESS PLAN IN SUMMARY?

The Company is committed to bringing the best meat products to its investors and customers by leveraging a unique plan which incorporates a revolutionary sprout growing technology to feed freshly harvested sprouts each day. The use of controlled environment agriculture will allow us to reduce the water consumption needed to grow the sprouts, vs traditional farming practices by approximately 90%, while maintaining computer control of all inputs. This will allow us to provide our investors and customers with complete and full disclosure of everything that goes into our growing process. PLAINVIEW will make use of much needed technology advancements in reducing water consumption in agriculture, while allowing our cattle to continue on a desirable growth curve, naturally developing the muscle marbling needed to achieve superior tenderness, taste, and nutritional content in each cut of our beef. Our goal is to develop beef that will rival and exceed the characteristics that our future customers, subscribers and investors have come to expect from their favorite steak house or restaurant. We believe that by enhancing the feeding process we can achieve these results. It is our intention to provide our customers, subscribers and investors with a PLAINVIEW of all that goes into our cattle. This means a PLAINVIEW of cattle genetics, conditions of how the calves were raised and fed, assuring no steroids or hormones, no antibiotics, and no grain. PLAINVIEW will provide detailed disclosure of how our sprouts are raised with no GMO seed, no chemical additives, such as; fertilizers, pesticides or fungicides. We believe use of the term "organic" has become a means of justifying higher prices with little idea of what the word "organic" really means.  For this reason, we do not intend to adhear to industry norms such as the term "organic" to describe our beef, we'll just focus on keeping everything in PLAINVIEW by providing full disclosure. We plan to market our beef primarily direct to our investors, subscribers and customers and then look to wholesale markets to clean up inventory and manage the flow. We promote a culture of quality and integrity in all aspects of our business, including the exceptional team we'll be working with and all that goes into this process from calves to your plate. We invite all stakeholders to share in this culture with us. This commitment fosters lasting relationships with our investors who will also be our customers.

If both an investor’s annual income and net worth are $124,000 or higher, then the investor’s limit is 10 percent of their annual income or net worth, or $124,000 whichever is greater. Accredited investors are not limited in the amount they can invest and have added incentive through our bonus program. Accredited investors connect with us to learn more.

WHAT ARE THE TAX IMPLICATIONS OF AN EQUITY CROWDFUNDING INVESTMENT?

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide tax advice. We encourage you to talk with your accountant or tax advisor before making an investment decision.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT EARLY-STAGE INVESTING? ARE THESE INVESTMENTS RISKY?

Investing in startups and small businesses is inherently risky and standard company risk factors such as execution and strategy risk are often magnified at the early stages of a company. In the event that a company goes out of business, your ownership interest could lose all of its value. Furthermore, private investments in startup companies are illiquid instruments that typically take up to five and seven years (if ever) before an exit via acquisition, IPO, etc.

WHEN WILL I GET MY INVESTMENT BACK?

PLAINVIEW BEEF CO, LLC is a privately held company, and its shares are not traded on a public stock exchange. As a result, the shares cannot be easily traded or sold. As an investor in a private company, you typically receive a return on your investment under the following three scenarios: The company achieves its projections and has the adequate amount of cash flow necessary to return cash to the investor via distributions. The company gets acquired by another company. The company goes public (makes an initial public offering on the NASDAQ, NYSE, or another exchange). In those instances, you receive your pro-rata share of the distributions that occur, in the case of acquisition, or you can sell your shares on the exchange. It can take years to see a distribution or trading, and years to build companies. In many cases, there will not be any return as a result of business failure. Investments in private placements and start-up investments in particular are speculative and involve a high degree of risk, and those investors who cannot afford to lose their entire investment should not invest in start-ups. Companies seeking startup investments tend to be in earlier stages of development, and their business model, products and services may not yet be fully developed, operational or tested in the public marketplace. There is no guarantee that the stated valuation and other terms are accurate or in agreement with the market or industry valuations. Additionally, investors on Regulation CF offerings will receive securities that are subject to holding period requirements. The most sensible investment strategy for start-up investing may include a balanced portfolio of different start-ups. Start-ups should only be part of your overall investment portfolio. Investments in startups are highly illiquid and those investors who cannot hold an investment for the long term should not invest.

CAN I SELL MY SHARES?

Shares sold via Regulation Crowdfunding offerings have a one-year lock up period before those shares can be sold under certain conditions.

EXCEPTIONS TO LIMITATIONS ON SELLING SHARES DURING THE ONE-YEAR LOCK UP ARE TRANSFERS:

EXCEPTIONS:

- To the company that issued the securities;

- To an accredited investor;

- To a family member (defined as a child, stepchild, grandchild, parent, stepparent, grandparent, spouse or spousal equivalent, sibling, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, or sister-in-law, including adoptive relationships.);

- In connection with your death or divorce or other similar circumstance.
